In August 2018, Kate Leeming cycled across Ladakh, the Land of High Passes, to help bring light and education to 1100-year-old Ralakung village, the oldest and most remote village in the Indian Himalayas. Nestled in the heart of a remote community, devoid of modern amenities, lies a group of people who have never had the privilege of electricity and education. For Kate, it is crucial to offer this community the opportunity to improve their lives by providing them with the basic necessities that we often take for granted.

Breaking the Cycle: Education aims to inspire students to lead their schools, communities, countries, and the world in making positive change by utilizing founder, Dr Kate Leeming's journeys as a source of innovation and creativity.

Kate has cycled a distance of more than twice around the world and on every continent (except Antarctica - that's next!). She has achieved several world firsts , biking through Europe, across Russia, 25,000km through Australia and west to east across Africa. 

Kate's projects contribute towards  alleviating poverty, achieving equality and protecting the environment through education and have been supported by UNESCO.
