Orange Sky Australia is the world’s first free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homeless – an idea founded in a Brisbane garage by two 20-year-old mates. Each week, all over Australia, thousands of volunteers put other parts of their life aside for a few hours to positively connect with people doing it tough. Over the past three years, Orange Sky has completed over 578 tonnes of laundry and provided more than 3,300 showers to people in need. Most importantly though, volunteers have engaged in more than 105,000 hours of conversations, helping to positively connect communities across Australia.
